PHP Version Change

 Friday, December 11, 2015
It has been some time since?PHP?5.3 reached end of life.?PHP?5.4 is not supported/developed anymore either. We are going to update the default?PHP?version of all shared hosting and reseller hosting servers from 5.3 to 5.6. We will still support?PHP?5.3, 5.4 and 5.5, and you will be able to select any of those?PHP?versions via cPanel ->?PHP?Version. We are going to add support for?PHP?7 too. Reports say it is 2 times faster than?PHP?5.6.

When are we going to make the change?
We will start making the changes on servers one by one on the?18th of January 2016. We will notify you at least 24 hours before we make the change for your server.

What do you need to do?
If your web sites cannot function under?PHP?5.6 you should check with your web site developer to make the necessary changes and updates. All popular applications such as WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, PrestaShop run properly on?PHP?5.6. If you need more time to make your web site compatible you can always switch to an older?PHP?version via cPanel ->?PHP?Version until you make it work under?PHP?5.6 or even?PHP?7 for better performance.

If you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask.
